Yeah another here, in Busselton. Been doing low and slow on my weber for nearly two summers. Learnt heaps and about to take the plunge on an offset with some share dividends that should be through shortly. Pulled pork and pork ribs are pretty much down pat, perfecting beef ribs and brisket at the moment and working on some chicken options as well.

I'm still new to this whole low n slow bbq cooking experience but I've had great success using just charcoal and some banksia cones. Bought some lump the other week but it's Indonesian mangrove and it's fairly... pungent... wasn't too happy with the flavour it left behind on a long cook, although it was great for use when cooking burgers the other day in the firebox. I'll have to play around with it a bit more I think.


Hi everyone pretty new to this bought an offset smoker for christmas.... just with regards to the jarrah have been using that as i got a bunch free and doesnt seem to impart a lot of smokiness to the meat.
