Hello everyone-
Let me start by thanking you again for your patience on this. Unfortunately, the Promoter can't support and run the event as described, and it's not going ahead at this time. Please rest assured that we are very careful about the events we sanction and whom we lend support to, mainly to do the right thing by our members and teams. I appreciate you all taking the time to express interest in participating, hopefully a more suitable promoter approaches us again soon - it's certainly a great indication of where comp BBQ in this country is going!
I also just wanted to take the time to reiterate, although I know a lot of you are already well aware, that the ABA is not involved or affiliated with the upcoming Melbourne Barbecue Festival. Again, I realise many of you were aware of this, but I am still getting inquiries from people on forums and groups about completing the judges class (that is not run by us, nor will it qualify anyone to judge at any currently scheduled Australian competitions in 2015) so it's certainly appreciated if you can clarify this when speaking to anyone who has the wrong information.
Cheers, and please dont hesitate to get in touch if you have any further questions.
Jess
