My mate Chris who usually comes up with me to the Port Mac. Comp. bought the LG1100 (the biggest one) a few weeks back from Sydney and he chucked a bit of a Do to christen it.....man what a unit!! Very solid in build, lotsa space and has the burner in the same spot as the Yoders so they'd be great at grilling. I'm very impressed and if I ever get to buy another Pellet grill, these will be high on the list.
I was a bit concerned about the exhaust holes at the back of the unit as it doesn't have an exhaust stack like most pellet grills, I'm just wondering if you're cooking low n slow and you get a heavy rain shower, will the rain get into those holes into the chamber?
After watching Chris's unit perform at the party, I was happy to see the digital thermostat hold steadfastly to the desired temp.

These units will do well I reckon as they are priced very keenly against the other brands and they are very solidly built.

These were my first impressions on the Louisiana grill...and I liked very much what I seen.

Cheers

Davo

Thanks Davo,

The exhaust holes is Louisiana's "Proprietary Exhaust System for even Smoking" and there is a metal cover that sits just above the holes and is designed to keep the rain out.

I had a touch and feel of these units at the Melbourne comp recently, they feel really solid and well built.

For me if I was looking at a pellet in this price point it would be a great option.

Very solid build and awesome design for that price point. Certainly the best entry level pellet BBQ with all the features and options you'd need.
