The first shipment of Louisianan Pellet Grills are expected into Australia early December.

Models are: LG700 , LG900 and LG1100

Advantages over other Chinese imported brands;

- Heavier duty constrauction & thicker steel

- Bottom shelf for storage & added strength of the cart

- NO Wi-Fi - from what we have researched, Wi-Fi causes nothing but issues, all you need do is read other threads on the forums

- Larger Burn Pot

- Designed from the ground up to direct flame grill

- Fully compliant for Australian Electrical & Safety Laws - will have the correct C E Mark

Some importers also abuse the European Compliance mark (CE)
Check here for explanation of "When is CE not CE as marked on some appliances" http://www.emcbayswater.com.au/faq/when-is-a-ce-mark-not-a-ce-mark.html

There has been a lot of interest already with inquiries.

Cheers, Dave

Exactly a year to the day Dave, when we first saw them at KCK.com :-) Great work.

Thanks Dave, it took a year to obtain full electrical & safety compliance for Australia.

Awesome news Dave, look like a great unit. And that smoking cabinet add on looks like a great feature!

Thanks Jars, I agree.

The only concern I have about these new grills, and maybe it's more of a talking point, but it's the way the it doesn't have a traditional chimney, but the slots along the back to let heat/smoke flow through. If the firepot is on the left, like a Yoder, wouldn't that make some very cold spots to the right hand side of the grill, as the heat would start on the left then sort of travel up and out through the first slot or two?
Unless the left slots are smaller or something? Haven't really been able to see a good pic inside in the clips I've been able to find.

Hi Yakabot,
I asked Louisiana & this was their reply:

Because the air and fire flows from left to right under and around the right side of the grease dome, the far right two inches of the cooking area is the hottest area of the grill (opposite of what you might think). The undersized exhaust holes across the back of the grill pressurizes the cooking chamber forcing the smoke to move across the food multiple times before making its way out.

Hope this helps.
