I just leave it default warm weather p1
The only time i p3 is when i do a steak and want to rush it to 450-600f.

Our climate is pretty warm compared to the northern states of US..

Ask them what they run in Texas... That'll be us year round


Don't stress about it too much, I'd set it to hot and go from there. If you find it constantly overshooting go back to warm setting.... Don't be afraid to play with it...

just did mine....

scary lol - wifi stopped working and had to reset the wifi settings but apart from that good so far temps seem ALOT more even with my Maverick now :-)

Hi all,

First post on this forum. I have a GMG DB that I upgraded to the wi-fi controller and the latest firmware. I found it really helped with temp consistency and also used fewer pellets. So I'd vote for a yes to the update
