I was originally going to build myself an offset smoker as I have the skills & the means but then I thought I'd start off the simple way with a drum smoker.

Found a drum, gathered some stainless tube, fittings & valves.
Bought a weber kettle off gumtree to get the lid and rack.
Made up the heat bead/charcoal basket and ash tray.
Welded the weber lid to the drum lid then cut out the centre.
Fitted in 2 racks, painted the whole thing with high temp paint, seasoned it and it was then ready for the first cook.
Just need to make a trolley now with some little benches.

Ready now for the next cook up, beef ribs & more pork ribs, can't wait!!
