Does anybody have a fancy trick for setting up your coal for a even and controlled burn in a Kamado? I see people set up brickettes in a kettle to burn in a controlled circular fashion.
Any tip for the Kamado? Should I light from one side and let it burn across? Till now I have just lit a fire in the middle and monitored it. It works ok? Just thought ther might be a better way that one of you gurus use.

Every video ive ever seen its just a big pile in the middle and then 1or 2fire lighters in the middle.
Except when the rotisserie is on, then its piled more to 1 side, but its still just lit in the middle
