Not sure if any of you have seen an Onfalos before? They are made in Italy & I have been told that there is one in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

The cooking surface is 12mm thick S355 Stainless Steel & heat treated with a commercial chromium & because of the very accurate temperature control, it allows you to cook things that are normally not possible.

I love cooking my veg this way, using Glad oven bags, chopped veg, a little olive oil & chilli & then cook straight on the chrome cooking plate at 170 C

The flavour is amazing!

any more pics of what you've cooked on this beast?

Hi Davo, I remember seeing one when I was in a fancy homewares shop in Prahran. Or was it Richmond :) In any case it was very, very shiny, looked really, really cool ... and was very, very expensive.

My understanding is that it is some kind of fancy thermoregulated outdoors frypan with a super-polished surface that makes it easier to clean. It would look very nice as a centerpiece for an outdoors dining area, but sadly my outdoors area is too small and I am too poor to buy one!
