Thought I'd kick things off for a register of butchers in relevant areas to members, starting with my home town of Brisbane. happy to include Sunny Coast, Ippy and Goldy in here as well of course.

Any tips for butchers that produce a good cut of meat on the area? At the moment I'm using Super Butcher at Eagle Farm for steaks and primal cuts, even managed to find a vac packed collar butt pork the other day. For snags, chops, kebabs and bacon I use Wavell heights Meats on shaw Road at Wavell Heights.

I'm currently really keen to find a butcher with some nice meaty ribs and some pork belly that isn't just the outermost layer of meat with 2cm of fat that is so often the case.

Share away ladies and gents.

Wish I could get my hands on Meatman's stuff in Sydney!

I wonder what it takes to make that happen?

i know they are working on it.
im sure if you put in a big order with your mates (a 1/2 pallet is 50kg) you could get something happening.
1/2 pallet is only about 6-7 briskets

Edgy

If you are anywhere near Hillsdale (just near EastGardens Westfield) then I can get you some stuff as our restaurant distributor operates out of there.

PM me if that is a goer

Hey mate. Have you tried Meat Emporium in Alexandria? It used to be called Establishment 218. They stock excellent marbled Angus beef including brisket and short ribs.
