Just picked up one of these bad boys from Aldi.

http://www.kuchef.com.au/product-catego ... ealer.html

$69.99. refills cost $14.99 for 2 x 5m rolls.

Pretty impressed with it so far. Reviews seem positive and a great price for what it does.

Special buys, so i think they're only on sale for a week or two before they're gone.

Missus mentioned last week that she wants one of these. (To stop me feeding leftovers to the mutts) Dogs won't be happy if she gets one.

I bought one a few months back, pretty happy with it so far.

Makes a big difference when freezing then defrosting meat based on what I've used it for.

I purchased a cheap vacuum sealer on crazysales: http://www.crazysales.com.au/vacuum-sealer/
It works fine. Before purchasing it I just put the meat in a bag and squeeze it in the freezer. The vacuum is really great. You can tell if the vacuum packaged meat has been contaminated by noticing it’s color which should be dark purple. If there is a color difference, then don’t take any chances and use the product but not before discerning if it’s safe for cooking.

I found the Aldi bag rolls of poor quality, compared to Sunbeam and Luvele.
