We Aussie are usually struggling to buy the full American style cuts, at reasonable prices. i.e a full pork belly, from my local butcher, on order is over $100.

Then I find Costco. Amazing Australian beef, pork and lamb every cut and full cuts available. I just purchased a full 4.5kg pork belly for $48, for a bacon run, and a 5.7 kg full scotch (loin) fillet for $157. I got 8 steaks and a 3kg piece I will age for 40 days. Amazing, export quality beef.

Look past the name, check them out.

Yer preaching to the converted here! Many of us use Costco but there’s some other good options too, where are you located? There’s a thread on best places to get low n slow cuts on the forum somewhere, check it out for some ideas.

Yeah sorry for stating the obvious. Im in North Sydney. We have some great wholesale butchers around town, but I find they are still expensive compared to Costco.

I also got on to Costco after reading about the cuts of meat available on here. Always get my Boston Butt's from there, and also bought a whole Scotch Fillet so that I could cut some really thick steaks to reverse sear. They are to die for. I wasn't impressed with their Pork Ribs, but apart from that, great selection.
