Hi folks. I would like some recommendations on where to buy cheap/affordable? long gloves for use with Kamado and general kettle BBQ ing. I heard that welders gloves should do the trick but not sure whether they are rated for high heat? On one of the specs I found the gloves were rated only for 100c. That is sure let not enough?

In any case which do you recommend and use and where can I buy them?

The only fire resistant ones I could find are in one of the links below.

For just picking up the occasional hot tray, I use Ov-Gloves from ebay/china. About $10
Other than that, I don't really know. Never needed any.

Honestly. I bought cheap welders gloves from Bunnings. Maybe spent $15. Incredible. Such good value for money. Very very good around heat and flames. If they ever wore out which they probably wouldnt i would just buy the same again

Cheap Bunnings chromed leather welding gauntlets are usually perfect, I sometimes wear a standard thick cotton gardening glove underneath for better thermal protection. Professional welding gloves usually have a proper thermal layer, but they start to get pricey and less flexible.

TIG gloves tend to be shorter and can withstand higher temps, but you'll need to visit a welding supplier.

Have you checked out Fire Slap gloves? I haven't tried them yet but they look awesome!
