Don't mind, just as long as Andy G, Wingman & Richtee are not allowed to enter ....
not that i will be competing but bring it on i say!
the thing with online comps is that its not what it tastes like its about a few factors
- meets the objective of the competition
- unique and/or creative
techniques to deliver this are
- butchering techniques and knife skills to provide a clean and professional looking plate
- Photography skills to capture proper lighting in a visually appealing setting
- plating skills
- cooking skills to execute the dish you are trying to create
im sure andy, ritchee, wingman ect have all of these skills but its probably a format where there is more of an even footing due to no tasting requirements
another possible advantage we have is the "out of the box thinking" that we have as a young country to bbq in relation to the international competitors.
voters will likely be primarily australian and what appeals to an international patron may not appeal to those voting.
in any case im not trying to disregard the skills of these amazing people i have mentioned but instead tried to show others that everyone is essentially in for a chance.
