i should explain,

Andy was recently brought out by Grillpro to judge and cook for us as well as tach master classes.
He is sponsored by Yoder as well as competes in BBQ competitions all around the US.
Andy is quite possibly one of the nicest guys you could meet and unlike a lot of BBQ competitors he competes with his wife and 2 girls in all the comps.
Andys achievements in the competition circuit in the US are a lot, to do this as well as work as an IT Technician is amazing.
Unfortunately due to his huge commitments (as you can understand) he hasnt had a lot of time to jump on to pitmasters however if you are interested is hodedo and profile is here

The first picture in this review is of andy and i shaking hands after my 3rd place at the melbourne festival.

Cheers for clearing that up for me Beaver. Actually, I thought he was an Aussie who had won.

Reccymech, wouldn't that be an amazing feat!!
I doubt it will ever happen though :(
The odds are against us.

-cooking on a pit you are familiar with means you would have to source the same put or ships yours across.
- knowing the product you are cooking, American pigs are very different from ours.
-understanding KCBS rules as well as the experience that comes from judge feedback.

I'm not saying it would be impossible but for someone to just rock up to the US regardless of his/her abilities I think it would be unlikely.
Kind of like cooking for a guy in his kitchen and their ingredients vs his wife whom is also a trained chef.

Thanks for the congrats guys! It's appreciated.
Beaver, you are right, it has been a 14 week back to back run for us, and hopefully if we slow down a little bit in the heat of the summer, I will be on the boards a little more. I have logged in here more than my home boards of late. LOL BBQ Brethren and PelletSmoking.com.

I'll make Dave take a lot of pics, and we'll try to take a few compromising ones of him as well. I'm going to show him as good a time as he showed me :)
Cheers-Andy

hey ya bud,
im sure dave will pack a lot of salmon shirts so those snaps wont be hard ;)
good to see you are busy but still having a great time.
also, its great to hear a lot of the US crowd keeping a watchful eye on our little board to see what comes out of it ;)
seems like a lot of pressure but from what ive seen from some of the members im sure some of the veterans will be suitable impressed :)
