Hi Guys yes we have a stand there and today is the last day if any of you are planning a visit to the show I have some free passes left call me, Tony (0418 313 816) when your at the door and before you buy any. 1 Condition you have to talk serious BBQ to me for a while because I an sick of talking to people you think the design of a Weber kettle is all wrong and can't tell their arse from their elbow.

This guy yesterday I am showing him a Family Q and he says. "So can I burn wood in it?" No sir it is a gas bbq etc etc, "Yeah but I can burn wood in It" Well not really sir there is enough heat etc etc. " yeah but I've got this wood I want to burn" But sir this is a gas bbq etc etc."mmmmm" "but I still want to burn the wood" Patience Lost. I took the brochure I had just given back, smiled and backed away.

Sure, you can burn wood in it, but it's gonna void your warranty quick snap. Hope you find someone to come save you!

Kind of reminds me of heading over to a family friends house in the early 2000s to see him cooking on a webber with a wok burner gas ring in it. Line fed through the ash dispenser in the base and a gas bottle on the storage grate between the wheels.
"I picked it up really cheap bit didn't have any of the connections in it so i just replaced them myself." So much face palm.

Didn't even know the home show was on, or I might have come in for a look around and a chat. Too late in the day now. Bummer.

Yeah Hi Dave
Mate we were a bit limited for space 36m square so we took the Cheyenne 16" offset and the YS480 Pellet Grill and the put the Cheyenne out on the edge of the stand and it was the leading product of interest. Literally hundreds of people had to open it to have a look and of course even the little Cheyenne has some mass about her and some kids lost some fingers but that was cool. We talked to stacks of people about Low and Slow and it was great to talk to some people from different cultures and backgrounds about what they love to cook for traditional family fare and food in general. There was of course the obligatory knuckle heads who would say they could build one for one fifth of the price but after I rolled it over their foot a couple of times, (by accident of course) they could see the quality of the build and were more to my way of thinking.
The YS480 on the other hand had some of them mesmerized and then after a while of chat you could see the penny starting to topple about the pellets and flavour. What was great were the folk some of them from the forum some of them who just liked to smoke their own stuff had some great stories and chat to share. We made some new friends and we sold some stuff and that was the show for this year.
