When I was a kid, my grandparents,(half from the "Old Countries" of Hungary and Italy) used to live in the Rouge/Oakwood areas of Detroit. Being there put them in close proximity of the old style ethnic markets, notably Gonnella's and the Delray Market. Oh, and Al's Cafe' and Major's restaurants among many others.

Going into those places is an experience I remember to this day. The sights and smells....ahhh! Olives in barrels, Sausages hung over counters, sawdust on the floor, the gossip and information that was given and taken freely... those days are over.

Mad Hunky Meats aim is to capture some of those flavors and aromas from "the old way" of food preparation. We use natural ingredients, and do not force or rush cures or aging processes required to get that authentic taste so rarely found in this age of fast food. I'll admit... the food goes fast, but the making of it is slooowww...

The Hungarians and Italians have some of the best meat products in the world, salamis, sausages, hams, etc. Try some of ours and discover how they were meant to taste...

Done in the loving memory of my parents, grandparents, and the food they made that was sooo darn good!

Varieties include:
- General Purpose Rub
- No Salt General Purpose Rub
- Pork Brine
- Poultry Brine
- Hot Whang
- Hot Ass Whang! ( just released )

Mad Hunky Rubs & Brines will be sold through all our Yoder BBQ retailers as well as other BBQ Stores.

Here is a list of our retailers in Australia for pricing: http://www.aussiepitmasters.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=116

Cheers, Dave

Hi Ken,
We are still working through costs & will be ordering a whole pallet to get the best pricing. We still have freight to Yoder, Kansas & a whole pallet of Mad Hunky in our container still takes up a pallet worth of space and then we have import duty & Australian Customs to deal with.

Folks here also need to remember that one eleventh of the Retail price here in Australia is GST Tax for our Government which is not added to internet orders. This is the challenge we face with our Australian retail prices of our Yoder BBQs also. Just another reason why we pay so much for US products here.

Saying all this, we are working hard to keep the retail price as low as possible so that Mad Hunky is affordable for everyone :D

Our retailers should have pricing from us later this week so maybe email them & ask.

Cheers, Dave

Well, folks..the deal is inked. I think Dave said it should hit the shores in early July. I'm pleased to be a supplier for Grill Pro, and Austrailian BBQ devotees!

For those keen enough to source it however they can it should be a lot easier.

What excites me is letting people whom didn't have access to it now be able to try it.

Congrats Ritch and Grillpro. I'm glad to see things come together
